Fruits harvested in the boreal climate of Scandinavian or Baltic countries have a very particular composition and sensory character. Generally small berries with low energy yields, they are low in sugar but have a high concentration of polyphenols and vitamins.
Surpisingly coloured considering their lack of light and length of maturation, they develop incredibly rich and appetising acidic tastes and aromas. We added the little sugar that nature deprived them of.
In the development process of our Crunch, our fruit, dried with sugar (20%) keeps all of its characteristic taste — with an added sweetness and crunch. Low drying temperatures (42 °C on average, with a maximum of 74 °C for a brief moment over 12 hours of drying) restore 80% of ingredients’ nutritional and vitamin content.
Our Crunch differs from cookies in that it contains no butter, eggs or flour — so no gluten or lactose. Easily digestible, they can be eaten all day and are suitable for children.
Keep at room temperature (max 25 °C) away from both light and moisture in a sealed container (jar, sealed bag…)
